Charles Gallagher

Upon joining Slovak Baron & Empey LLP in Jan, 2000, Charles practice has focused on complex civil litigation, with strong emphasis on contractual & commercial real estate disputes, unfair business practices & unfair competition, employment law, & probate & trust litigation. 

Charles was born in Indiana and raised in Columbia, Missouri.  He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and completed his undergraduate education at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in voice.  Following a career in music and the fine arts in New York, Charles received his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where he was honored with an American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. 

After graduation, Charles gained valuable courtroom experience with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s office.  Prior to joining Slovak Baron & Empey, LLP, Charles worked in insurance defense concentrating on personal injury and construction defect matters.  He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and is a member of the Desert Bar Association.
